However if you ever need support or guidance please contact the  Health Visiting Team -Aneurin Bevan UBH as they are here to support parents and carers in Torfaen. The health visiting team give early years advice and parenting support. They have a range of wonderful services and programs covering a variety of topics, such as breastfeeding support, weaning, potty training and much more.

Feeding

Whichever way you choose to feed your baby is your personal choice. We have collected some information links below to support you with whichever journey you choose for yourself and your baby. If you have any feeding worries or concerns, the best thing to do is speak to your midwife or Health Visitor.

Breastfeeding

Breastfeeding is the process of feeding a baby with milk produced by the mothers body. it involves the baby latching onto the breast and drinking milk. for more information on breastfeeding please see the links below.

Bottle Feeding

Weaning

Weaning is the process of introducing your baby to solid foods. We would always recommend you speak with your health visitor first about weaning. The links below are here for guidance should you like further information. They have useful information on safe weaning, what foods to introduce and the different methods of weaning.

Safe sleeping
